Hating on Skrillex is the new hating on Pendulum. Every successful artist out there gets hate anyways.
Fair dose to the little guy, emo or not, he's doing his thing, and it's absolutely opening new doors ![]() |

I totally agree with you. Music evolves just like anything else. I for one like the direction edm is going. Its art... some people need to get over themselves. Just because something is overplayed doesn't mean its bad. First post btw.

Yeahh I also like the way EDM is going, since artist now actually get the recognition they deserve. I mean, don't get me wrong I like the underground scene, but having electronic music growing like this opens up a lot of new opportunities. It's much easier to get your work featured in movies, games and series than about a decade ago. It's becoming easier for artists from this genres to actually earn some money for what they do so that they can live normally and spend all their time on producing and performing instead of having a parttime job to feed the needs..
Also the fact that more people are attracted to this music makes me happy, how bigger the audience gets, the more recognition you'll be able to get. To all the haters out there, you're obviously just hating on the fact that artists like Skrillex are way more popular and successful than you will ever be, that's why you can't stand it and need to post all the hate. No-one can blame Skrillex for his success, he is just pumping out fat tunes like all the good producers, his fans made it 'mainstream', and I don't think that's a bad thing. Just face the changes guys!
