Its an age old arguement, mix depth verses minimalism.

Both has their own advantage, i fine more layers add energy and make pads seem to be firing from all sides, and little noises and basses filling the range. Different style eh.

I have such a hard time explaining that to friends.. people always say that my tunes sound minimal even tho I've got 5 layers of breaks going off and what not.. lol.

- Data.

Read Winterman's reviews of my work : HERE!

It was obvious from the first track I played that the one known as Data has his head in the right place when it comes to D&B. Heavy stabs, deep sub bass, sinister pads, the production level is high here, a pleasant surprise to see an unsigned artist with tracks that sound like they're already around. A lot can be said about the consistency between tracks on Data's page, it shows maturity and balance, key elements for a label in choosing an artist for signing.

... On the flip, Data's 'C-rfew' brings a complete constrast, minimal, techy and as deep as the Pacific, this is a track for anyone who loves their D&B to move not just their feet, but their spirit too.
