Chicago footwork
Saw this on Bleep: Bangs & Works Vol. 1

Definitely not for everyone, but the driving bass hooked me.

Then I scoped some footwork battles on YouTube. Shit's keen.

(turn up your bass)

Interesting. So is this something that came out of ghetto house or something. When I first heard all that chopped up stuff and subbass in the video I was like...they're dancing to jungle?

I think so. I at least read that there are a number of ghetto house staples who have been producing this stuff.

yeah, most of the tracks that come out can get pretty annoying. there are some good ones though.
e.g. check out this one

I agree with 2turntables, certain ones get annoying, but a few are great as standalone tracks.

Like this for example:

I kinda see this genre being big in the future if more tunes come out that are great by themselves.

Not a fan!

Sounds like speed up Miami Bass, Ghettotech, Booty House etc

Sort of stuff DJ Funk and DJ Assult play but without the bass or general dancefloor vibe.

Jazz
