Ok, I might have been a little off with the statement "most, if not all"... but a fair piece of hacked windows installations have bad code on them. http://www.spamfighter.com/News-1395...cious-Code.htm

I never take any chance when it comes to the OS I'm using, not worth the risk imo...

After windows xp when I was a serious computer geek, i stopped caring about my operating system. As long as it doesn't crash and it lets my run my software, then I have no complaints.

Those are my main gripes at the moment. Motherfuckers

- Folder toolbars on the start bar often disappear/rearrange themselves after a restart
Most of those gripes are just simple bug fixes. The problem with windows is that they never fully developed a proper stable hardware abstraction layer for developers to use. The use of drivers to simply get a device to work is bad programming. You almost always get conflicting libraries and broken dependencies when hardware vendors are allowed to (or need to) write OS-specific drivers. One way windows has tried to remedy this is with the use of certified devices. This unfortunately puts them in the position of having to release a new OS version when new hardware comes out. So basically their exclusive closed-source dealios with hardware manufacturers makes them... apple lol! At least apple went open source and it is possible to actually use a gcc compiler on their platform.

Another version of Windows NT! Let us extoll the virtues of this update while demeaning older versions

EDIT: or vice versa
