this is my basic container:

}
#header {

width: 940px;
height: 88px;

}
#LeftNav {
float:left
width: 235px;



#body {
width:705px;



}

clear:both;

}

I was told to make sure my body and left nav add up to the width to ensure they sit next to each other correctly, but when i open the site in a browser, and when i look at it in sharepoint designer, my body isn't the same width as the header, and there's a blank white space, and to the left of the nav where the body has dropped down more than the left nav's height there's also a ugly white space.

Why is this, how do I solve it? Please help me.
