It's been that way for years. Sometimes it's a person or sometimes it's a thing like a new genre or subgenre of music. Keeps the board lively. The alternative seems to be more Mac vs Pc or atheism vs religion threads and those are like beating a dead horse. It's a sad state of affairs.
