People like Tommy Robinson mock themselves as far as I'm concerned. His unlettered appearance on Newsnight talking about "shar-eye-a" was enough to put him out of the conversation. Doesn't stop some of the EDL concern over Islam from being valid though. Can you imagine the outrage if a poll was done that suggested one third of EDL supporters claimed killings such as the Breivik attacks were justified to protect their beliefs? Of course when the shoe is on the other foot then you won't find condemnation on the left.

There's plenty to criticise on both sides of the political spectrum but that is just a glaring example of irrational liberal discourse.

i dunno mate, I always thought part of being liberal was listening to other people's opinions, not just opposing conservatives.

eh? the EDL have been quite open about their vague but not quite honest support of breivik (in the same way you seem to think the EDL have a point, but can't quite bring yourself to say it) and there hasn't been much of an outrage at all, as it's so massively predictable.

what poll are you talking about anyhow? you seem to be strawmanning about large groups of people and treating them like one person so you can vaguely suggest lefties are hypocrites.
