Boh

The festival is wicked

Basically, it's the one weekend of the year where everyone from Bristol of all ages and backgrounds comes together

The festival covers Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th July is held on the Ashton Court estate which is basically acres and acres of parkland. All the local music acts and promoters come together and there are several music stages and tents, food stalls, community events etc

Everyone spends the weekend getting drunk in the sun looking out into the countryside and listening to tunes, and the ages range from newly born babies to 70 year olds, all enjoying each others' company.

We've got a slot on Saturday night (45 mins) and it'll be me and Kulak playing stuff ranging from Polar and Calibre to Konflict and Cause4Concern to a crowd of a couple of thousand people.



And there's the mash-up warm up LOCUS the night before with Andy and Klute.

They've got a £5 cover on it this year to help with running costs cos it's council and community organised and they always run at a loss.

Music usually covers everything from live electronica to jazz, house, dnb, hip hop, rock and anything else you can think of.

Basically a damn good weekend to come to Bristol

Also just read that over 100,000 people went to last year's festival

So it ain't a small ting :)

Should be lots of dogs in attendance too!

Think we shall have appearances from Lata, El Poussah, jimma, xo, dare and more

Word, it's wicked. I went to this and Essential last year, and Ashton Court was 100 times better. Think it's partly cos it's so cheap - you don't expect much from a fiver, but if you turn up at midday there's usually a bunch of stuff to see. Local favourites, and plenty of random oddities... Anyway, everybody is so happy cos it's sunny, and they've still got dollar in their pocket, and you can bring yer own beers...

Shit man I'm so looking forward to it. Just hoping the line-up is good. Last year Kosheen were headlining () but Smith & Mighty were the major highlight, Stanton Warriors played a nice set, and Fingathing were particularly fantastic...
