Things are going to change dramatically in D'n'B from now!
I have been lucky enough to receive a rather large inheritance after the passing of one of my close relatives. It was specified that i must invest the money into something i care about, and my desire is to put the money into the music that is so close to my heart. So i will tell you a little about my achievements and plans so far.
I have started up the Sputnik DJ Agency, where I shall be signing only the cream of the crop to push this music in the right direction. On the roster so far we have my good friends Fabio, Grooverider, Kenny Ken, Jumping Jack Frost, Adam F, Fresh, Blu Mar Ten, Bailey, Flight, and this list is growing each day.
I have been in negotiations with Fresh over the Dogs On Acid website, and it's looking like me and Blu Mar Ten are going to take control of the website, and enhance and direct the content towards a bigger and better direction.
From February next year, I am going to be taking over Sunday Nights on 1Xtra, I felt that Bailey's show was good but not living up to it's full potential and basically me and him are going to run it together, although i will be steering him towards how i want it so to speak.
I am currently in the process of buying several major clubs around London and eventually I am looking to do the same in several other major cities, The reason behind this being that the promoters have not been giving the punters a very good show at all really, I know I can do a much better job and provide exactly what is needed.
I will keep you all informed.
Update: Earlier i concluded negotiations with Goldie and I am now basically running Metalheadz for him, my first procedure will be to change up the release schedule and i am currently trying to secure and e.p. from Blu Mar Ten.
Update: After just being on the phone to Doc Scott, I have a meeting tomorrow morning with him about moving 31 Records up to date, I suggested re-branding to 32 Records which he seems cool about, more info on this tomorrow though.
Tuesday Update: Well, after meeting with the Doctor and having a very very positive discussion with him, I am pleased to announce the founding of '32 Records'. First up on this re-branding exercise will be the Vault V.i.p., as I had a lot of pressure to put this out I spoke with Doc about this and he is now more than happy for me to make this happen.
I have been on the phone (albeit rather briefly) with Dylan of Freak Recordings, he was getting a little restless about the way things were going with his labels and nights and so I have agreed to part-finance a new sister label, entitled 'Freak Liquid' this will deal with the more melodic side of D'n'B.
I have sealed a deal with Danny Bukem regarding bringing back 'Good Looking' as a force to be reckoned with, from February I will be making this happen with a whole host of new releases from Counterstrike, Gein, Break, John Rolodex, Arsenic, Blu Mar Ten and others, trust me when I say Good Looking will be back with a vengeance.
Later on today I will also be bringing news on the re-scheduling of Metalheadz releases, but believe me when I say there are big things in store!
