I think my 1st Speed was spring/summer '95, and it was definitely LTJ/Fabio by then.

btw lenny - keep up the great work

These styles need more representation.

I've no idea about any Speed re-unions, but here's to the next LogicalProgression old skool anniversary on the 21st dec at M.O.S.

Thats on Monday 3rd October 94

I think the original concept was "Deep, Beautiful Rollin Drum & Bass Supplied by Ltj Bukem & Guests" Groove Connection & Fabio got involved after.
Although they were with the same agency & obvious musical allies Leo Roche was the promoter responsible for the original concept & mates with Nicky Holloway who owned The Mars Bar

I will cut a pound of flesh off something chucky on my body whilst I am at it ;)

I will need schooling, so that can be a work in progress, I did however get an idea to cover off some of the downbeat and not so dancefloor friendly bits. Also dug out a load of 93/94 dirty amen business but I don't think Speed can be associated with that, although thinking about it Rupert, Trace, Fokus, Cert18 and Timeless were spotted in the pile.

Before you posted this I had just used that in a mix for my mate who funded that release, he comes back to the UK this weekend.

I just had a brainwave, but it could be the most stupid idea I have had yet. How about one of the sessions only being available on cassette? Handwritten mix tape stylee. People still geared up for TDKs?

this.

On 1st thought, i would say there's very little about.
However with a little digging, I reckon a decent set could be put together. This, in turn could inspire more poeple to write tunes in this style.

(like when you go to a night, and there seems to be a theme that sticks in the mind when you leave. Often used to get this after hearing Rider at BlueNote - wish I produced in those days, I had so many more ideas!)

Uncanny!!!

Tonight I pulled out some bits and I have selected the first half of no 7, back to atmos and I am trying to use artists that have not yet appeared, i.e. Omni Trio, PFM etc.

Should be cooked by Sunday.
