anyone know any good bassline tutorials? I did a search and mostly found reesebass related tutorials. Anyone know (or would do ) a tutorial for decent smooooooth liquid basslines?

...use everything with lots of lp filters to cover high(er) frequencies and distortion...

(or use my Pro-53 patches - you'll find a nice Kick Bass there)

distort an 808 kick, set some loop points and low pass it, thats liquid to me.

You should be able to make some usable bass with the techniques stated in the reese tutorials as well. Just chill on the distortion, and don't detune your oscs so much that they become dissonant.
Throw in an LP-filter, and you should be on your way
