Reason Reese tutorial (by me)
How to make a basic reese using the malstrom + FX
this should all be built in a seperate combinator with its own 16:1 mixer
1) get one sawtooth (this can work with a square as well, i normally never use the sawtooth 8 or 16 because there not as clean as the normal sawtooth)
2) pitch octave down so its low(3 i expect)
:
3) route to filter (bp filter for the squelch bass, tune freq and res to ya own desire)
4) assign mod b to filter (just A coz ya only using A, but ya can assign to B filter if ya want more than one filter)
5) set it to sync 1/4 (or whatever time signature your working to)
6) now adjust the filter nob on mod b (normally about 3/4 to the right, this is more for a wobble type bass so its down to ya own taste)
7) put ya attack on the filter envelope up about 30%-60%, depending on how long you want it to carry, and adjust the amount to how much ya want it to filter
:
8) route the audio out (which should already be in the mixer) to seperate channel 1 left 1 right and pan full 1 left 1 right)
9)so now ya have a left channel and a right channel for ya malstrom
10) assign an mclass eq to send 1 and eq to taste (apply to both left and right)
11) now add a scream to send 2 (do what ya like to get sound ya want), but only apply about 50% to each channel (depending on taste)
12) now get a chorus to send 3 and a unison to send 4 but
13) add chorus to left channel about 60-70%
but nothing to the right and do the opposite with the unison 60-70% to the right and nothing the left
*note you can mix them about but thats a good way of starting
*you can also add another saw to the malstrom, settings should roughly be the same, but with a different filter i.e.lp filter. Change the cent to about 32+ cent to give ya more movement (wobble) to the saws/reese
try it ya self !!!
