MASSIVE + .ksd files = frustration

Up top near the patch names there's a button that says File, click it and click open like any normal program. Then locate your patches. You can also just drag them into massive 1 by 1. It's all covered in the manual.

I've noticed something odd. FM8 has installed perfectly into the standalone version of massive, but not the VST plugin which is where I needed them to go. Do you have any idea why? thanks for the quick response by the way

Dunno what you mean by "FM8 installed into massive", but i've never opened the standalone versions, and I don't think I even installed them tbh, unless it was default... so never heard of this "feature" if it is one.

What host are you using for the vst? Usually you have to scan for new plugins every time you install one, and it will pop up. Apart from that, not sure what else to suggest.

Say what? Massive can't play .ksds made for FM8- they're two different synths entirely.

Ah, is that what he meant? Wasn't really understanding. I know the extensions are both .ksd for "Kore Sound files", but didn't know he was trying that. You can load FM7 patches in FM8 though, there is a converter built in.
