Yeah, it was a copy and paste of a thread I put together on dnba - didn't think about the links... sorry! Will fix them when I get a chance - most of them are the low quality ones on www.phatdrumloops.com

Right, all bar one of the links corrected - can't find my original link to the last one, will have to do a bit of digging to unearth it again!

To all the beat diggers:

No problem - figure it's better to share the info than sit on it all...

If anyone's got any additions, feel free to post them up - always on the hunt for more breaks

yeah really...
there are over 500 breaks on this site if yall just go there

alot of them are 8bit and low res tho so you'll need some kind of batch converter to get them all workable (if you dl all o them).
some excellent stuff there tho

nice effort anyways phokus

Well, not everyone knows what to look for when they get there... just felt like compiling it all into one list for the sake of it!

I know the sample quality isn't brilliant on there, but it's a place for people new to the whole breaks thing to start - puts them on the right track for some proper beat digging!

HUGE Respect to the Phokus for some exemplary digging...
A few tings...
Most of the above breaks that aren't on phatdrumloops can be DLed from my site...
http://www.junglebreaks.btinternet.co.uk
...or elsewhere on the grid (i.e. "the ALL NEW breaks to download thread").
Phokus: Check "sing a simple song" on my site -- probably could be added to your list...also, the bongo break used in Die's "Drop Bear" is from "Scorpio" not "Son of Scorpio"...
Keep on Digging!

this is also on the b-side to bobby byrd's i know you got soul, along with the vocal version of im coming, also by bobby byrd, with the JBs backing him up.. apparently in the late 80s when the record company went to re-release this tune, the engineers made a breaks only version similar to the funky drummer reprise. You can still hear the music playing in the background thru out the whole tune, and even in some dnb tunes that sample it.
