Just a thought in light of D.O.A. wanting to raise some funds to keep itself running. There's a whole bunch of talented producers on here, and a community of like-minded heads. If it's not already been suggested (and Iforgive me if it has- but I'm still relatively new here)...a Bandcamp page and we all contribute a track for the download- all profits to D.O.A. forum...and a chance to put out some great music. Win Win!!

I'd suggest we put together a VA EP/LP of DOA members tunes, make sure there's some proper quality control in place and try to put together something really solid, then release on bandcamp, but also run through a digital distro. Maybe even see about some basic PR too, send some promos out etc.

Am waiting on hearing the unsigned/DOA tracks mix that I think @Soul Beat Runna is preparing..... tie it in with that?

There's sure to be some tunes on that. No issue with paying for a few.

Yeah I was being intentionally ambiguous LOLZ, laugh a minute me. Please board the banter train.

I'm not sure who owns it really, could well be Sasha Cohen I guess?

There is a DOA label too actually but it was less active

I've got Dj Lee & Dkay - 'Rain' on vinyl, which came out on the under construction label / DOA.

Nice deep roller, think I got that like 12 years ago.... label has been dead since.

    Cool idea though.

I think that the old DOA label is more of an archive more than anything. I think they should do it but definitely separate themselves from the former label.

The path is clear.... get on it.

I'd offer my services and assistance, but I fear it would mainly consist of shit-posting on this forum or elsewhere.

I'm currently looking into self releasing some stuff. I'd be up for helping to put together a collective EP or something. Everyone would ideally need to chip in for things like mastering, but I could handle artwork and distro etc.

    Anyone interested?

How much do you think the mastering would cost?

.. also not sure if my stuff's up to par yet but would be up for submitting some bits for review... :) :nana:

    Awesome!

I was recently quoted 27 quid per track by Shem: https://www.facebook.com/ShemMastering/ - He's really good imo.

NuTone offers quite a cheap mastering service https://www.ntmastering.com/. I sent one of my tracks to him just to see what he could do with it. Though i liked the results, it was a shit track and i vowed to do it all myself from then on

After Soul Beat Runna's put together the unsigned mix, we could all vote for our favorite track from it, the ones with the most votes could then go on a comp or something? idk.
