any feedback would be good
Sounds really good, very clean production but I think the kick is a bit too loud
ill tweak it
Bumping this cos it's ruddy brilliant!
I agree. Wow man..
Thanks, glad youre feeling it. Im quite satisfied with it, as the vocal is from a really dumb tune and the keys are from an equally daft kids film. Its well emo tho, maybe a bit too emo. gets going properly at the second drop. Ive done a better mixdown now, sent you it for the mix.
I checked this on SC the other day, you're a versatile chap aren't you!!
Keep knocking em out and it'll only be a matter of time before people start picking em up.
I'm really looking forward to dropping it in the mix, superb stuff
+1 on the kick being too loud, but other than that this track is smooth and wicked.
I think he knows that, the version I have here is mixed perfectly.
Thanks for checking.
started a right mental one tonight
The first tune has a nice Seba vibe to it
Snare/hats to loud when they hit, track needs more WIDTH especially when the vocals drop in and out, also arrangement don't roll, some of the parts don't fit together, has potential if it rolled but it don't, at the break half way mix needs working , your highs ain't crisp enough and sound distorted my guess is to loud pre master, nice changes but needs a totally different arrangement for this to be a good track.
Your mixes sound better but still still need work, but I do like that your concentrating and getting a clean mix rather than that silly clipped shit.
Did I like it? Yes.
But it's an average forum track.
Has it got potential? Yes, if you take at least some of my advice.
Are you still a cunt?
Only you know that.
This is shit.
It's not your style and it struggles to anything but shit, sounds like jimmy crackheads nonsense.
Stick to quality
This is why you will always be a fucking looser m8.
First track is good, nice roller, second one bit too much and full on, maybe if you change it up after that voice sample, add some jungle beats in, could be interesting.
Hi freestyle, thanks for the advice. I've deleted the project file and will start the track again.
How are you doing that filtering at 7 seconds? That's like old Ram Trilogy, Molten Beats era bass right there???
In fact generally, if that second one was more refined and the drums were changed, that could literally sound like something off molten beats.
Don't know how keen you'd be for a collab but I can totally hear a load of shit in my head that I'd do to that!!
Cubase has a native plug called morph filter. It's that sweeping over the mid layer from low to high with some res
Yukon is lovely
The 80's sounding synths that come in after the second drop are great!
Keep the Cubase tempo click.
Freestyle bringing the lols as always!
this is good stuff OP
You know I speak sense and we both understand and respect each other in a fucked up way.
1. 2. 3 anddddd *Group hug*
Honestly, take some of what i said and your have a quality track, you know it has something, and your not silly either and know some bits don't work, and I'm the first person to always compliment anything decent.
I know you can do better, and you know it.
I've done a new mix of it anyway and widened up the vocal. Some of what you say is correct - The tune could probably do with filling out some more in the first bit. The pre master wasn't loud, was peaking at -6, then I stuck it through ozone. So yeah, not perfect but prob best mix and master home job I've done. -8 rms with no distortion.
Really enjoyed both tracks, though don't feel Yukon needs the vocals, the music says enough and for me they aren't adding anything in terms emotion or energy. Otherwise, track is bang on. Instrumental VIP?
Nut Job is sick, vibes sit just right. Barrels of attitude.
